What is the MAP Open Door Campaign?

For the last 8 years, Mothers Advocacy Project has been developing and testing a unique model called the TASS (Trauma Assimilation and Social Support) model at our Sandy Springs location. We emphasize that all services, both clinical and social, are to be performed within a trauma-informed environment. This environment allows us to serve our families well and ensure that they are prepared and ready for the hard work of trauma recovery that is in front of them. Because of that approach, we decided it made perfect sense to call our 2023 End of the Year Giving Campaign, the MAP β€œOpen Door” campaign.

There are 3 program elements that may seem peripheral to those looking on, but to us are essential in providing the level of care and excellence that we require:

  1. A Safe Space

  2. Reliable Transportation

  3. Purposeful Childcare

Over the next 5 weeks, we will give more details on how each of these elements improves the quality of our client services, and how your financial support toward these specifically will impact the families we serve.

  • Donate $100, $500, $1000 or any amount using our secure giving link.

  • $35,000 needed to continue to provide A Safe Space for families at our MAP office.

$22,500 needed to cover Reliable Transportation for 50 families to and from MAP services.

$17,500 needed to provide Purposeful Childcare for our 200+ MAP:Kids while their caregivers participate in MAP services.

While these numbers seem large to one person, as a MAP:Family, we can reach one mom at a time, one donation at a time.

All MAP services are offered at no cost to our moms. We've intentionally covered these additional services to remove barriers for all moms to attend in-person group therapy and family advocacy sessions. Before the end of the year, we are hoping to raise $75,000 to cover these additional services through the remainder of our fiscal year.

To accomplish our $75,000 goal by December 31, we need your help.
