Position: Development and Donor Relations Director

Employee Type: Part Time (15-20 hours per week)

Reports To: Managing Site Director

Compensation: $30/hour

Location: Hybrid (Remote & In-person at our office in Norcross, GA)

Mothers Advocacy Project exists to support women-led families through trauma-informed, evidence-based programs to build long-term stability and prevent family separation. We are seeking a strategic, relationship-driven Development Director to lead fundraising efforts that sustain and grow our impact. This is a part-time role ideal for a self-starter, passionate about social change.


About This Role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy

  • Cultivate and steward individual donors and major gift prospects

  • Manage donor database and ensure timely acknowledgments

  • Lead fundraising campaigns and appeals (email, print, digital)

  • Write and submit grant proposals and reports

  • Collaborate with Executive Director on funder communications

  • Support event planning and donor engagement opportunities

  • Manage relationship with contracted grant writer

Qualifications: 

  • -3+ years of nonprofit fundraising experience

  • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills

  • Proficiency with donor CRMs (e.g. Salesforce, Click&Pledge,etc.)

  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

  • Passion for our mission and values

Preferred:

  • Experience with grant writing and managing portfolios of major donors

  • Knowledge of trauma-informed or family-focused services

Staff Team Requirements:

  • Attends quarterly staff meetings.
    Attends all necessary trauma training.
    Attends all necessary developmental training for the position.
